Balasore SP turns good samaritan, rescues road mishap victims

Balasore: Going beyond the call of duty and setting an example, Balasore SP Jugal Kishor Kumar Banoth today aided a father-daughter duo in reaching hospital after the two sustained critical injuries in a road accident.

The police official was heading towards Oupada in an SUV for a public hearing when he spotted the victims, identified as Kailash Chandra Sahu and his daughter of Achyutipur village under Soro police limits, in a critical condition on NH-16 near Begunia in the district. An unidentified vehicle had hit the two leaving them grieviously injured.

Extending a helping hand, the SP rushed them to the Soro Community Health Centre (CHC) in his vehicle and facilitated their treatment at the hospital. His act has been praised by the locals.
