Bandh observed in Odisha’s Nuapada over medical college demand

Nuapada: A 12-hour dawn-to-dusk bandh is being observed by various organisations in Odisha’s Nuapada today over the demand of establishment of a medical college in the district.

The Medical College Nirman Samukhya, two lawyers’ associations and several political parties are observing the bandh. While shops and business establishments remained closed in view of the bandh, vehicular movement came to a grinding halt on NH-353 here as members of the associations staged road blockade holding banners.

They also resorted to picketing at various places in Nuapada town, reports said.
