Bandh paralyses normal life in Odisha’s Kamakhyanagar

Odisha Sun Times Bureau
Kamakhyanagar, Mar 25:

Normal life was today paralysed in Kamakhyanagar of Odisha’s Dhenkanal district due to a 12-hour dawn-to-dusk bandh called by the Notified Area Council (NAC) over several demands.

Vehicular movement between Jajpur and Talcher was affected as agitators staged road blockade by burning tyres this morning. Many buses remained stranded on both sides of the road.

On the other hand, shops and business establishments here remained closed as several organisations and trade unions extended their support to the bandh.

The NAC has given the bandh call demanding repairing of NH-53 and constriction of roadside drainage channels from Alatoma to Jiridamali here.
