Bank of India donates Rs 6.61 cr aid for FANI-hit Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Extending helping hand for Cyclone FANI victims in Odisha, Bank of India (BOI) has contributed to the state.

The Managing Director & CEO of the leading nationalised bank, Dinabandhu Mohapatra, handed over a cheque of Rs 6.61 crore to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Wednesday.

Besides, two more organisations donated aid to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for relief and restoration work in the FANI-hit districts.

On behalf of Hindustan Unilever Ltd, General Manager (East India) Amlan Mukherjee, contributed Rs 2.5 crore to the CMRF for FANI assistance.

Similarly, Angul district administration donated Rs 43,24,711 to the cyclone-ravaged state.

Meanwhile, former Chilika legislator Raghunath Sahoo donated his 4-month pension a whopping Rs 1.20 lakh as aid to the CMRF yesterday.
