Banks asked to resume normal working hours in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In view of relaxation during lockdown 4.0, the Odisha government today directed all scheduled banks to operate with full strength in all working days from 10 am to 4 pm for customers.

In a letter to the SLBCs and District Collectors, the Finance Department asked all scheduled banks including Cooperative Banks and RRBs in the State to follow the normal working hours for smooth banking transactions in the interest of the public.

The letter further stated the Banking Correspondents (BCs) and Customer Service Point (CSPs) in the State are allowed to operate from 7 AM to 6.30 PM except from 2 PM to 4 PM for the benefit or rural customers.

Worth mentioning, the government had implemented restrictions on banking hours in view of COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown earlier.
