Orissa High Court has put an interim stay on the high-profile divorce case of Barsa Swony Choudhury and son of former Odisha minister Rajashree Mohanty which is under subjudice in Balasore Family Court.
Besides, the court has also issued summon to Rajashree on a plea by his estranged wife.
Barsa Swony had filed a petition seeking transfer of her case to Bhubaneswar Family Court from Balasore citing reasons that she is facing inconvenience while attending the sessions here as she is studying in the capital city.
Admitting her petition, the single bench comprising of Justice A. K. Rath has issued summons to Rajashree Mohanty to put his side and an interim stay on hearing in the lower court.
Lawyer Kshirod Rout was contesting the case on behalf of Barsa Swony Choudhury.
