Odisha's international basketball player and coach Gaganmani Tripathy has gone missing since January 9.

Tripathy's family on Sunday lodged a complaint with the Infocity police station saying Tripathy has been untraceable since he left his residence in Mahavinayakpuram in Patia, for his early morning walk on Thursday.

The 61 year old former Rourkela Steel Plant employee did not have any known enemies, his family members said. However, they suspect he may have been kidnapped. However, they did not share further details.

The police have begun investigation on the basis of the complaint, sources said.
