BCCI announces Indian men’s team for T20I series against SA

Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced the India’s team for Paytm T20I series against South Africa.

KL Rahul will lead the T20I team and Rishabh Pant will be the vice captain. Other members of the Indian squad are as follows: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Hardik Pandya, Venkatesh Iyer, Y Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, R Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik.

The India’s team will play a five-match T20I series against South Africa in New Delhi, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Bengaluru. The series is scheduled start on June 9 and the last match will be played on June 19.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mohd Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and others have rested for the T20I series against South Africa.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who last played for India in the T20 World Cup has made a comeback.

The BCCI also announced the Test squad for the fifth rescheduled Test against England. Rohit Sharma will lead the test team and KL Rahul wil be the vice captain. The fifth rescheduled Test against England will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 1-5.

Other members of Indian test squad are Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant (wk), KS Bharat (wk), R Jadeja, R Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Mohd Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd Siraj, Umesh Yadav and Prasidh Krishna.
