Beef laden pickup van seized in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack, Mar 27:
A pickup van loaded with meat was seized this morning near Bhanpur by Cuttack Sadar police in Odisha, which was later identified as beef.

While driver of the vehicle managed to give police a slip, police has detained the helper.
According to police, the vehicle was heading towards Kharagpur area of neighboring West Bengal with the consignment from Niali area in Cuttack district.
Police intercepted the vehicle during checking on national highway near Bhanpur, following which the driver fled the spot.
However, police nabbed helper of the van and seized the consignment.
Police are questioning the helper for details of the illegal trading.
