Bengaluru woman found hanging inside hotel room in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: A woman from Bengaluru was found hanging inside the room of a hotel in Odisha’s Puri, today.

The deceased was identified as Aishwarya Sahanabag. She was working for an NGO and had come to Puri to attend a work-related conference.

Her family members telephoned her multiple times this morning but the calls were unanswered. Suspecting foul play, they called the hotel staff who knocked on the door. However, there was no response.

On opening the door, the hotel employees were shocked to find the woman hanging with a rope inside the room.

The Marine police have recovered the body and started an investigation.

Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that she ended her life by hanging herself.
