Berhampur COVID warrior succumbs to virus

Berhampur: A COVID warrior of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) serving duty in battle against COVID-19 died due to coronavirus infection, Ganjam Collector informed today.

The Corona warrior Kailash Chandra Nayak was working as the Assistant Engineer at the BeMC in Ganjam district. He lost his life under treatment at the KIIMS COVID Hospital in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

“We lost our Covid Warrior. Entire District Administration is with their families. We request all people in Ganjam to follow social distancing norms. By doing this you will help our covid warriors in fighting this war,” Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted.

Through a message, he extended his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members for loss of life.

Expressing deep condolence, Kulange wrote, “The dedication and devotion shown by him while discharging his duty definitely set an example for others and indeed inspire others in the war against COVID-19.”
