Betel trader looted of Rs 6 lakh at gunpoint by masked miscreants in Odisha

Rairangpur: A betel trader was allegedly looted at gunpoint by three miscreants here in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district last night.

The miscreants looted Rs 6 lakh just in three minutes from the trader inside the shop.

According to reports, two masked miscreants along with their associate who was wearing a helmet entered into the wholesale betel trader Rupesh Mohanty’s shop at around 11.00 pm on Sunday. They allegedly frightened him with a gun and asked him to hand over the cash to them.

A complaint in this regard has been lodged at the Rairangpur Police Station. Following complaint, the police reached the shop and initiated probe into the incident after collecting the CCTV installed inside the shop.
