Bhubaneswar: 2 suspected coronavirus patients admitted to Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar: As many as two persons suspectedly being affected by coronavirus were admitted to the Capital Hospital here today.

While one them is an Irish namely Peter, another one has been identified a resident of Nimapada area in Puri district.

The two have been kept at the isolation ward of the hospital while their swab samples will be sent for test, said Dr. Ashok Kumar Pattnaik, Director, Capital Hospital.

They will be kept at the hospital till submission of their swab report, Dr. Pattnaik said.

With the increase in suspected coronavirus patients in the state, the Centre has assured to set up a COVID 19 testing facility at Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Bhubaneswar, said a statement from Health department.

The Health Minister has also written a letter to the Union Health Minister requesting him to set up another testing facility at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, the statement said. Odisha has not reported any positive case so far, it said.
