Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) authorities have introduced a new parking policy with effect from April 8, 2019. The policy features a new set of guidelines for vehicle parking on the airport premises.

1- No parking charges will be levied for private and commercial vehicles for pick-up and drop at departure and arrival areas of the airport

2- Access fee of Rs 40 will be levied on all commercial vehicles with contract carriage permit

3-Two-wheelers will be charged Rs 10 for parking upto 30 minutes and Rs 15 for upto 2 hours. An additional charge of Rs 5 per hour will be charged for parking duration from 2 to 7 hours while Rs 45 will be levied for parking upto 24 hours.

4- For cars, Rs 20 will be levied for upto 30 mins of parking and Rs 55 for upto 2 hrs. An additional charge of Rs 10 per hour will be charged for parking duration from 2 to 7 hours while total Rs 165 will be charged for parking upto 24 hours.

5- For vehicles like tempo, SUV and minibus, the charged have been fixed at Rs 20 for upto 30 mins, Rs 60 for upto 2 hours, additional charges of Rs 10 per hour for parking duration of 2-7 hours, Rs 180 for upto 24 hours.

6- Heavy vehicles like coach, bus and truck will be charged Rs 30 for parking upto 30 minutes, Rs 70 for upto 2 hours, additional Rs 10 per hour for 2-7 hours of parking and Rs 210 for upto 24 hrs of parking.

7-Government vehicles will be allowed free of cost.

8-Parking of any vehicles in the lanes/roads leading to entry or any area other than the designated parking place will be penalized.
