Bhubaneswar: Amid blistering heat wave in Odisha capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has installed temporary sheds at various traffic junctions in the city.

The civic body has done so in order to provide shade to citizens travelling on roads/ waiting for green signal at traffic junctions.

The shed will be installed at all major traffic junctions across the city, the BMC said.

The capital city had yesterday recorded maximum temperature of 45.4 degree Celsius. Bhubaneswar also became the 10th hottest place in the world on Tuesday.

Today, maximum temperature of 41.2 degree Celsius was registered in the city by 11.30 am.
