Bhubaneswar: At least three flights bound to Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar were cancelled today due to bad weather conditions at Delhi airport, an official said.

All the flights were scheduled to originate from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi and connect destinations like Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata via Bhubaneswar.

According to weather forecasting company Skymet, Delhi witnessed one of the densest fog this morning. The runway visual range had dropped to 75 metres.

Besides, a dozen of flights bound to Bhubaneswar airport from cities like Bengaluru and Delhi have been delayed for the inclement weather conditions, the official added.
