Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar reported 38 new cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours surpassing 600-mark tally, informed an official source today.
Of fresh cases, 26 cases have been detected from quarantine centres and 12 are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

With the fresh cases, the COVID-19 tally in the city rose to 640 with 317 active cases
Meanwhile, 6 COVID patients have recovered from the disease in last 24 hours, the BMC said.
Besides, the city reported one casualty due to COVID in last 24 hours after a female suffering from diabetes succumbed to deadly virus.
With one more COVID death, the toll in the city rose to 8.
“Following fresh cases, further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance,” the BMC said.
