Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police busted a cyber fraud racket which was functioning in the guise of escort service provider and arrested five persons, including the mastermind and a woman, in this connection, police sources said today.

The accused used to post advertisements on Google Ads about the escort service. They had duped many gullible persons who contacted them for the service.

Police have seized mobile phones, Rs 87,000 and 10 ATM cards from their possession.

Besides, 15 bank accounts having deposits of Rs 20 lakh have been freezed by the police.

Further probe by police was underway to ascertain the possible involvement of others in the offence.
