Bhubaneswar: Doctor on his way to celebrate 3-month marriage anniversary dies in accident

Bhubaneswar: In a highly tragic incident, a newly-wed doctor who was on his way to celebrate the 3-month marriage anniversary with his wife died in a road accident near Fire Station Square in Odisha capital late on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Dr Manoj Kumar (35), who was working at a private hospital in the city. His wife Dr Sushree Sangita works at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

According to reports, Kumar was heading towards Cuttack on a motorcycle to celebrate the occasion with his spouse.

Unfortunately, he met with an accident near Fire Station Square as an unidentified vehicle hit the two-wheeler.

Though locals rescued Kumar and rushed him to Capital Hospital, he was declared dead at the government healthcare facility. The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem.

Dr Manoj Kumar and Dr Sushree Sangita had tied the nuptial knot on February 28.

The Nayapalli Police have registered an unnatural death case and started investigation.
