Bhubaneswar: Group clash in Patia leaves over 20 injured

Bhubaneswar: More than 20 persons sustained injuries in a group clash at Padmakesharpur in Patia area of Odisha capital in the wee hours of Friday.

According to reports, the violent incident ensued over past enmity between the two groups as they pelted stones and bottles at each other.

On being informed, the Mancheswar police reached the place and took the situation under control.

In order to avoid any further untoward incident, two platoons of police force were deployed in the locality.

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC have been imposed in the area.

The victims were undergoing treatment at hospital.

Earlier on September 1, a similar group clash had taken place at Padmakesharpur, in which over 10 persons were injured.

Police had arrested around twenty persons in connection with the clash.
