Bhubaneswar Market Building violence: Another prime accused nabbed   

Bhubaneswar: A day after detaining notorious criminal Chintu Mohanty was detained under National Security Act (NSA) in connection with the violence at Market Building here, the Commissionerate Police (CP) today nabbed another prime accused Gopinath Nayak from Gajpati district.

With this, the total number of arrests made in connection with the incident rose to 32.

Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi said the Capital police today arrested Gopinath, who had initiated the Market Building mess while Chintu masterminded it.

“Our response to any disruption to public order will always be robust and no nonsense,” the CP tweeted.

Worth mentioning, a group of masked hooligans went on a rampage and ransacked many shops besides attacking vendors at Market Building here on January 10 evening. As per police, two customers were allegedly misbehaved by a shopkeeper, following which they called their associates and attacked him. The incident later led to a group clash.
