Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation registers record revenue collection
Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has registered a record revenue collection of around Rs 150 crore in the financial year 2021-2022.
A total revenue of Rs 1,50,51,85,052.92 has been collected during the fiscal. It comprises of Rs 62,50,28,428.92 holding tax and Rs 88,01,56,624 as other revenues.

This is the highest-ever revenue collection for the civic body. Last year, the figure stood at Rs 118 crore.
Despite the COVID-19 situation, revenue collection during the financial year is satisfactory, said Srimanta Mishra, Deputy Commissioner, Revenue, BMC.
The overall collection comprises collection through online mode, offline collection from major defaulters and other revenue collection, BMC said.
