Bhubaneswar: Police Helpline Number for lost mobile phone cases issued

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police today issued a helpline number for providing assistance in cases pertaining to lost mobile phones in Bhubaneswar.

“If you have missed/ lost your mobile phone in Bhubaneswar city area, please WhatsApp your name with IMEI No., phone model, and PS case/ GD reference, if any to WhatsApp No. 7077798111,” the Commissionerate Police said.

It also issued helpline numbers for other offences.

“If you fall prey to cyber fraud, please dial Bhubaneswar UPD Help Desk No. 7440006709,” it said.

Regarding incidents of extortion/ dadabati, the citizens may call/ send WhatsApp message to 9938910000.

For drugs and street crime cases, the Commissionerate Police has issued WhatsApp No. 7077798111.

The move by the Commissionerate Police comes at a time when several incidents of youths brandishing weapons on the capital city roads during night were reported.

The matter had left residents of Bhubaneswar panic-stricken.

Besides, instances of seizure of drugs by police in the city and arrest of drug peddlers continues unabated.
