Bhubaneswar reports 14 new COVID-19 cases; details here

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar increased to 718 with 14 new positive cases were reported in last 24 hours.

Out of 14 fresh cases, 10 are local contacts and 4 cases have been detected from quarantine centres, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

With this, the number of active cases now rose to 353. While 356 patients have been cured and discharged from the disease, 8 patients have succumbed to the virus so far.

For the first time, the city registered a number of recovered cases as compared to fresh cases a day after huge spike in Corona cases.

As per details shared by the BMC, 29 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease yesterday under BMC area.

Here’s update on newly detected and recovered cases in Bhubaneswar:

Following detection of cases, further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, BMC tweeted.

Yesterday, 64 new positive cases had been reported in Bhubaneswar causing alarming situation.
