Bhubaneswar reports 16 more COVID-19 cases; here’re details

Bhubanewswar: Out of 17 new COVID-19 cases reported from Khordha district in last 24 hours, 16 positive cases belong to Bhubaneswar, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

Of fresh cases, 14 are the local contacts and remaining 2 have been detected from home quarantines.

Meanwhile, 11 COVID-19 patients under treatment at various COVID hospitals have recovered from the disease, the BMC said.

Here’re details of new positive and recovered cases in Bhubaneswar:

Following detection of fresh COVID-19 cases, further contact tracing is underway. The primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC said.

With this, COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar surged to 274 with 132 active cases and 138 recovered cases. Total 3 patients have died of COVID-19 so far in the city.
