Bhubaneswar reports 170 new COVID-19 cases; details here

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally increased to 5289 in Bhubaneswar with 170 fresh positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

Out of new cases, 92 have been detected from quarantine centres and 78 are local contacts. In quarantine cases, 6 persons infected with the coronavirus have travel history to various states including West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi and remaining 86 positive cases are linked with earlier cases.

Following the new cases, the number of active cases in Bhubaneswar stands at 1823.

Meanwhile, the city registered two fresh deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the toll to 25.

Besides, another 184 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease in the city. With this, the number of recovered cases rose to 3435 so far.
