Bhubaneswar reports 24 fresh cases of COVID-19; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar reported 24 fresh cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

The fresh cases are among 26 cases detected in Khordha district in the test conducted on Thursday.

Of 24 new cases, 20 have been reported from quarantine centres and the remaining 4 are the local contacts.

Meanwhile, the 15 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the city in last 24 hours, the BMC said.

With the fresh cases and recoveries, the tally in Bhubaneswar rose to 369 with 148 active cases and 216 recovered cases so far. Till the date, the city has registered 4 fatalities due to COVID-19.

Further contact tracing is underway. The primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, BMC tweeted.
