Bhubaneswar reports 49 new COVID-19 cases; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar reported 49 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours crossing 1200-mark, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

Out of fresh cases, 34 have been detected from quarantine centres and 15 are local contacts.

Here’s update on newly detected cases under BMC area in last 24 hours:

With fresh 49 cases, the tally in Bhubaneswar increased to 1231 with 642 active cases and 576 recovered cases. However, 11 persons infected with COVID-19 succumbed to the virus in the city so far.

All the positive cases both quarantine and local have been shifted to COVID hospitals for treatment.

Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC tweeted.
