Bhubaneswar reports nearly 70 % of total fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Khordha district
Bhubaneswar: Out of the total 506 COVID-19 fresh cases reported from the entire Khordha district, 342 (67.5%) belong to the capital city alone. With this, the tally of Bhubaneswar surged to 21,197.
As per the information shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), as many as 231 of the total fresh cases are local contacts while remaining 111 have been detected from quarantine centres.

In the local contact cases, highest 16 have been detected from Chandrasekharpur area followed by Patia with 12 cases.
Meanwhile, 321 patients have recovered from the disease in the city taking the count to 17,497. The virus has claimed 88 lives in the city so far.
