Bhubaneswar: Retd bank employee dies as truck hits him near Kala Bhoomi in Pokhariput

Bhubaneswar: A pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a dumper truck near Kala Bhoomi Odisha Crafts Museum in Pokhariput area of the city, today.

The deceased was identified as Sadananda Swain of the locality. He was a retired bank employee.

Reports indicate that he was taking a morning walk when a speeding sand-laden truck hit him, resulting in his death on the spot.

Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene, arrested the truck driver, and seized the vehicle.

The body has been sent for an autopsy, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
