Bhubaneswar to be fully Wi-Fi enabled ahead of Men’s Hockey World Cup

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the Men’s Hockey World Cup scheduled to be held at Kalinga Stadium here in November this year, Smart City Bhubanewsar will be made completely Wi-Fi enabled, city Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena informed this on the sidelines of Local Self Governance Day celebrations today.

Briefing mediapersons, Jena said Bhubaneswar will be completely Wi-Fi enabled before the mega sports event. Besides, 100 more city buses will be introduced to facilitate commuters in the capital city.

“In view of the Hockey World Cup, the Smart City will be given a new look within two months. For beautification, walls along 80-km stretch in and around the Smart City will be painted,” he further said.

Besides, steps are afoot to resolve the drainage and water-logging issues in the city, Jena added.
