Bhubaneswar: If things go as per the plan, Odisha capital will be connected with four more Indian cities by air soon.
This was revealed by the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Director Prasanna Pradhan today.
“Flight services from BPIA in Odisha capital to four more Indian cities—Surat, Dehradun, Chandigarh and Jammu—will be launched soon. We have already initiated the process in this regard,” Pradhan said.
According to Pradhan, the new terminal link building at BPIA will be made operational by the New Year. “We have applied for the security clearance for the new building. We will hold discussions with all stakeholders including the CISF and Customs department before designing the standard operating procedure (SOP) in this regard,” he said.
