Bhubaneswar: Two die by suicide as they consume poison inside house in Bharatpur

Bhubaneswar: A man and a woman allegedly died by suicide as they consumed poison inside a house at Phuleswari slum in Bharatpur area of Odisha capital, today.

According to reports, the deceased, identified as Somnath Sahoo and Sulochana Nayak, were residing as a couple in the house after getting separated from their spouses.

It is being suspected that the two took the extreme step of ending their lives over a dispute between them. The family members of Somnath had been opposing their relationship, sources said.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. The bodies have been recovered and sent to AIIMS here for post-mortem.
