Bhubaneswar Unit-IV fish market to be shifted tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: After shifting the Unit-I market, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to relocate the Unit-IV fish market here to ensure social distancing between customers.

From tomorrow, the fish vendors will be seen sitting on the stretch from Shastri Nagar to Patel Marg near Red Cross Bhawan. Around 150 fish vendors will be shifted, said an BMC official.

The vendors have been asked to maintain at least 8-ft gap between each other. Besides, customers have been instructed to maintain social distancing of 1 metre while buying. However, chicken and mutton shops will not be shifted from the Unit-IV market.

Earlier on March 27, the Unit-I market was shifted to Unit-I Boys’ High School’s playground, located near Ruchika Public Schoo, to avoid crowds.
