With an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters during summer and avoid rush in different regular trains, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run a weekly Premium Super Fast Special Train between Bhubaneswar and Yesvantpur from mid-April to June 2014.

According to an ECoR release, the 02845 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur weekly premium super fast special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 12 pm on every Wednesday between April 16 to June 25 and arrive at Yesvantpur at 11 AM on Thursdays.

In the return direction, the train will leave Yesvantpur at 11 PM on every Thursday between April 17 to June 26 and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 10.45 PM on Fridays during the period having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Nellore, Renigunta and Jolarpetai.

Apart from this, ECoR has also decided to augment additional AC coaches permanently in different important trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction according to the feasibility and demands from the passengers.

Based on an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile (PYO) on various routes, permanent augmentation of coaches in mail/express trains is being done by attaching more coaches.

22882/22881 Bhubaneswar-Pune-Bhubaneswar Express and 22871/22872 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with one additional composite coach of both AC-2 and AC-3 tier coach each permanently with effect from April 1 to April 6 from Bhubaneswar.

18419/18420 Puri-Darbhanga-Jaynagar-Puri Express and 22827/22828 Puri-Surat-Puri Express will be augmented with one composite coach of both AC First and AC-3 tier coach each permanently with effect from April 3 to April 6 respectively from Puri.

Similarly, 18463/18464 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express, 12819/12820 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Odisha Sampark Kranti Express,  12880/12879 Bhubaneswar-LTT-Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Express and 22879/22880 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with one AC-3 tier coach each permanently with effect from April 15 onwards, the release added.
