Big spike in COVID-19 cases! 90 new infected in Bhubaneswar; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: For the first time, Odisha capital reported a huge spike of 90 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours taking total count to 859, official source said.

Of fresh cases, 63 have been detected from quarantine centres and 27 cases are local contacts, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today.

With this, the number of active cases of COVID-19 increased to 462 in Bhubaneswar so far.

Here’re details of quarantine and local cases in Bhubaneswar reported today:

Meanwhile, 24 patients have recovered from the disease in last 24 hours taking total number of recovered cases to 385.

Details of fresh recovered cases:

As on July 14, the city registered 11 deaths due to COVID-19.

The patients tested positive for the deadly virus in the State capital in last 24 hours have been shifted to COVID hospitals for treatment.

Following detection of cases, further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and will be under active surveillance, the BMC tweeted.
