Bhubaneswar: Odisha today witnessed a huge spike of single-day COVID-19 cases with 1282 persons in the state tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s total caseload surged to 3,46,808.
Sundargarh recorded highest spike of 224 followed by Khordha (192), Kalahandi (108) and Bargarh (84).
Of the fresh detected from 28 districts, 755 are quarantine cases while remaining 527 are local contact cases.
Today’s tally is highest in last five months. On November 9 last year, the state had reported 1219 cases.
