BIGGEST spike of 2993 new COVID cases in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered the highest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases as 2993 more persons from 30 districts tested positive for the virus.

Out of the 2993 cases, 1879 were detected in quarantine while 1114 are local contact cases.

With this, the number of active cases in the state rose to 25792 while 52276 persons have recovered from the disease so far.

Khordha district reported the highest number of 606 new cases.
