Bike-borne miscreants hit man, loot Rs 3.5 lakh in Khordha

Khordha: In a broad daylight robbery, two bike-borne miscreants hit a man standing on the premises of Khordha Tehsil office here and looted Rs 3.5 lakh from him here today.

Sources said one Samanta Pradhan of Tangiapada village had gone to Khordha Tehsil office to purchase a land after withdrawing the money from State Bank of India (SBI). While Pradhan was standing on the Tehsil office premises, the miscreants came on a bike and hit Pradhan before decamping with Rs 3.5 lakh.

Sources said the miscreants had followed Pradhan after he withdrew money from the bank.

Acting on the complaint, police have begun an investigation into the incident.
