Bike-borne miscreants loot Rs 15 lakh in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Nov 6:

Two motorcycle-borne unidentified miscreants allegedly looted an employee of a city-based builder firm this afternoon in Odisha capital.

The assailants snatched the bag having Rs 15 lakh from the manager of a builder firm while he was crossing road after withdrawing money from a nationalized bank in Laxmisagar area along the Cuttack-Puri road.

The manager of the builder firm has been identified as Deepak Agarwal.

Laxmisagar police have started investigation into the incident based on the inputs provided by the employee of the builder firm.

The investigators scanned the CCTV footage and interrogated the staff of the private construction company to get leads to crack the case.

As per reports, the robbers fled the scene on a Pulsar bike raising apprehensions of the ‘Pulsar gang’ being active once again.

It may be recalled that a looter’s gang called as ‘Pulsar gang’ was active in the city in the past. The gang used to target persons who come out of bank with huge amount of cash. The elusive members remained out of the clutches of the police and today’s incident has pointed fingers towards the gang’s resurgence.
