Bikers loot Odisha businessman after spraying chilli powder

Miscreants today allegedly looted a businessman in Odisha’s Nayagarh district after spraying chilli powder on him.

According to reports, a businessman was returning to his home at Saradhapur after withdrawing Rs 6 lakh from an ATM counter near Nayagarh district headquarters hospital today. Three bike-borne miscreants waylaid the businessman near Balugaon and sprayed chilli powder on him. The assailants snatched the bag containing the cash and fled the scene.

“We have received a complaint that Rs 6 lakh has been looted from a businessman after throwing chilli powder him. We are investigating into the matter,” Nayagarh Sadar Police Station ASI Pramod Nanda said.

The SDPO and Sadar Police IIC went to the spot for investigation.

Meanwhile, few persons were questioned on the basis of suspicion.

The complainant was admitted to the district headquarters hospital for treatment.
