"The residents of Keranga have been told not to do poultry farming for the next three months," Sethi said.

"H5N1 virus has been detected in the samples collected from CISF camp and IG park in Rourkela. The park has been closed for indefinite period. But, chickens have not been affected with bird flu virus in Rourkela. However, it has been advised not to sell chicken meat within a radius of one km of the affected areas," he said.

Speaking over the deaths of crows at Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar, Salepur in Cuttack and Jajpur, Sethi said, "Many birds are succumbing to cold conditions. Our teams have collected the samples of the dead birds and examined it. No bird flu virus has been detected in those samples."
