Senior BJD leader Bishnu Charan Das resigned as Rajya Sabha member two days after he was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of Odisha State Planning Board.

He has tendered his resignation to the Chairman of the Upper House last night.
Notably, Bishnu Das was elected to the Upper House last year.
However, on Saturday Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik appointed him as Convenor of BJD Dalit Cell and later he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board.
