Bitten by a cobra, man arrives at hospital with the snake in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: In a bizarre incident, a man was bitten by a cobra and arrived at the hospital for snake-bite treatment with the very snake that bit him in Odisha’s Keonjhar district. The man was identified as Gura Munda (30) of Ranki village within Keonjhar town police limits.

As per reports, Gura was working in his poultry farm and trying to direct the chickens and fowls into the hen house when he accidentally stepped on a cobra and got bitten in the leg. As he screamed, villagers in the neighbourhood rushed to his rescue. But before rushing him to the hospital, Gura along with the locals first tracked down the cobra. They then put the snake in a sack and carried it along with them to the district headquarters hospital.

While Gura was immediately taken by the hospital authorities for treatment, the forest department was apprised of the incident and the snake was released into the jungle nearby.
