BJD appoints 3 senior leaders as observers for Jharsuguda bypoll in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) appointed three senior leaders as observers for ensuing bypoll to Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency.

As per the office order by BJD President Naveen Patnaik, Prasanna Acharya, Devi Prasad Mishra and Sarada Prasad Nayak have been appointed as observers for the upcoming Jharsuguda bypoll with immediate effect.

The bye-election to Jharsuguda Constituency is scheduled on May 10. The counting of votes will take place on May 13.

The BJD has fielded Dipali Das, daughter of late Naba Kishore Das, as its candidate for the bypoll. The bypoll to Jharsuguda was necessitated after the murder of Naba Kishore Das on January 29.
