BJD names more office bearers ahead of Odisha polls

Bhubaneswar: Keeping the ongoing elections in view, Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik appointed observers for multiple assembly constituencies along with other party office bearers, today.

Dilip Duria for Sambalpur and Rourkela, Md Mobin for Rairakhol and Rajnagar, Sailesh Dani for Jharsuguda and Rengali, Md Shaheed for Bonai and Badasahi, Pallab Lima for Talasara and Aul, Bhimsen Muduli for Chhendipada and Sundergarh, Debi Prasad Patnaik for Biramaharajpur and Bangiriposi, Anusuya Majhi for Loisingha and Udala, Santosh Bej for Anandpur and Baripada, Anshuman Rashmi Sagar for Kendrapara and Subhranshu Mishra for Patkura have been declared as co-observers of respective assembly segments.

Sarojini Das is the Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD) organisational secretary and Sabita Sahoo and Manorama Bhuyan have been appointed as Kendrapara BMJD organisational secretaries, according to a press release.

Similarly, Akshaya Kumar Mekap as town working president, Chittaranjan Behera as block working president, Sudam Mallick and Sanjay Mallick as SC Cell secretaries, and Durga Prasad Pati as district vice president, have been given charge for Kendrapara.

The Biju Yuva Janata Dal office bearers for the same district are: Subhranshu Bhushan Kar (district general secretary), Ratikant Sahani and Sarojkant Sahoo (district working presidents), Ratikant Samantaray (organisational secretary), Muhammad Aamir (Minority Cell president), Debashish Panda (secretary) Surya Mohanty and Gautam Swain (district secretaries).

While Mahendra Mishra, Prasannajit Singh and Kamalakant Mohapatra have been named BYJD state organisational secretaries, Mir Khadim Baux and Zakir Khan have been declared as vice president of Minority Cell and Cuttack district vice president of BYJD Minority Cell, respectively.
