Bhadrak: Ahead of ‘Bhumi Pujan’ (ground breaking ceremony) for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal project at Dhamra Port in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, some BJD posters were reportedly found torn in the area.
While BJD's Chandbali MLA Byomkesh Ray has alleged involvement of BJP behind the tearing of posters, BJP leader Manmohan Samal denied the allegation saying that he doesn't find any poster being torn today.
Worth mentioning, Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik didn't attend the ground breaking ceremony today though Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had invited him to attend the event.
"The Chief Minister had earlier decided to attend the ceremony as it was a government programme. However, he stayed away from the programme as it turned out to be a political event due to politicisation of the programme," BJD's Rajya Sabha MP Pratap Deb said.
