Bhubaneswar: With riding success over last two decades under leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Odisha, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will be operated from a new luxury building in Bhubaneswar from tomorrow.

The party supremo Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to inaugurate Biju Janata Dal Shankha Bhawan, BJD's renovated party office, on April 23 on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya on Sunday.

Decorated with marvelous stone work showcasing Odisha's rich art and culture, the new party office of BJD has been built over the same location at Unit-6 area in Bhubaneswar.

The Shankha Bhawan has a large parking space under its basement on which the 3-storey building has been constructed.

Sources said that there is a conference hall in the Air Condition-equipped first floor with the capacity of 2000 people, a 250-seat huge auditorium and a canteen. The first floor also has a press conference hall having enough space for media persons.

The top brass in the party will have their personal space for office inside the building in second floor. As many as 30 rooms have been constructed for this purpose. The IT Cell will also be operated from this floor. Party president Naveen Patnaik will issue order to his partymen from his office in the third floor of the newly reconstructed building.

Worth mentioning that the foundation stone was laid during Ratha Jatra 2021 for the renovation of the BJD party office. Many bigwigs in the party and observers are likely to attend the inauguration ceremony tomorrow.
