BJD walks out of Lok Sabha ahead of No Confidence Motion

Bhubaneswar/ New Delhi: Ahead of the debate on the No Confidence Motion against the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government at the Centre, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) walked out of the House saying the discussion will not be helpful for the people Odisha.

BJD MP Bhartruhari Mahtab said his party is walking out of the House since both the UPA and NDA governments have not done much for Odisha.

“In the last 14 years, the BJD has witnessed that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) for 10 years and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for four years have done injustice with Odisha. And this discussion is not going to help Odisha. So we are not going to participate,” Mahtab said.

After BJD, Shiv Sena, an NDA ally with 18 members, decided to stay away from Lok Sabha today.
