Bhubaneswar: With all the major political parties in the state raring to go for the kill in the forthcoming elections, Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) exuded confidence that his party will do “extremely well”.

“I am sure that the Biju Janata Dal will do extremely well in the forthcoming elections,” Naveen told reporters at state secretariat here today.

The regional party that will be contesting elections with the anti-incumbency factor seems upbeat given the results of by-elections and local body polls.

The term of the present Odisha assembly will end on June 11.

Worth mentioning, the formal schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly polls is expected to be announced by the Election Commission of India in the first week of March and the process is likely to be completed in over seven to nine phases.
